My youngest brother, Jake, is a Jazz Performance Major at Indiana University. He plays both piano and trombone, and had his senior recital this past weekend. He plays the way I wish I could play and had spent many years of my life trying to. Anyway, he could do at 8 what I couldn't do at 18. Now I'm his biggest fan. Here are some tunes he played, all of which he arranged and those you don't recognize he wrote himself. It's not because I'm proud to be his brother, which I am, that I love his music, although it probably does have to do with genetics. I also like to think I'm one of his biggest influences, at an early age at least, and most of the music I like rubbed off on him. After all, any time a CD of mine was mysteriously missing, I was pretty sure who had taken it. Anyway, without further ado, here are some pieces.
